I have a few things I do to help eliminate waste. Wether its food waste, gas or electricity. The one I chose to post for my #zerowasteweekend is my push lawn mower. I can mow at anytime during day or night, and it requires no gas, and gives off no fumes.

My parents used to make us cut the grass with one of these

We used a gas powered one when i was a wee lss, but when i moved out in my 20's, i ended up buying my first manual reel because I wantes to cut grass at 7 am, before the sun rose and didnt want to make noise. Now I am hooked.
I like the simplicity of this machine, I have an old one in my shed that was my grandad's I used to mow our lawn with it when I was a kid. I sometimes think to throw it away but I can't. It needs renovating but one day i will do it and use it again.
I have been meaning to get one for a while. I wanted one not because it doesn’t give off fumes, but because it is cheaper lol

I have one too! You have to keep the blades sharp and, it doesn't work well if you wait too long to cut the grass as the higher it grows, the more difficult it is to cut the grass with this type of equipment.
Used to use that when we were kids!
