Absolutely. Everybody I grew up with watched at least one anime. The few that didn't at least watched Studio Ghibli not knowing what anime was.
I mean, I think everyone have watched atleast one episode of DBZ, Naruto or any other old gen anime in their TV when they were young, they problably just didn't know it was called anime.
Anime becoming main stream is both a great thing but also a bad one in some areas like the tourists and stuff
