Another type of spell witches can do is a hand gesture. You’re having a conversation and want to cast spell. That’s a reason why this could be helpful. There could be other reasons.
Any mudra could work but it’s not how I do it. Inspired by the Lou Shou square, I use a number. I use the ring, middle and index finger. If your pinky and thumb touch, you see nine sections on your three fingers.

Repetition and a number gesture is what I do. Malas don’t work well for this. A pile of scraps of paper does work well indoors. Make sure each spell has a unique number. Record the spell number in your spell book.
