Hi all! As part of the wiki team, I’m making a list of 5 cute webtoon couples.

I was pretty excited for this prompt cause romance is one of my favourite genres and I love getting invested in a cute couple.

For this list, I’ll be including mostly main couples from romance webtoons (including ones where they haven’t gotten together yet) so there are no spoilers.

5. Eros and Galen (Revelation of Eros)

This is the only canvas I read and probably the only webtoon that I’ve been reading for a while and still read.

It takes place at a university and is based on a true story. Eros begins university in America after living in Mexico. It has some coming of age elements as Eros is placed in this new environment and has to learn to adapt and grow to a new situation. He wants to be left alone and push people away but he starts to change his mind as several people try to get closer to him.

I’m mostly including this here cause I think it’s underrated. It’s not completely focused on a cute romance so it’s not frustrating that it takes them so long to get together as there are a lot of other interesting aspects to the story. It includes a lot of the anxieties and complexities of relationships that I don’t see a lot in romance stories.

I think it does a good job at getting you to care about the characters and be engaged in their relationships. It feels earned and it really develops the characters so that you can understand them and what they do.

4. Bea and Lazareth (Brimstone and Roses)

This is another webtoon I’ve been reading a while, I love Bea and Lazareth and their relationship and the story is super compelling as well.

The story begins with Bea summoning a demon, Lazareth, because she wants a date to a wedding. At first, they don’t get along but they gradually start to understand and respect each other more.

I like Bea as a protagonist and she grows through different romantic experiences, it feels very authentic and engaging, which makes it easier to relate to connect with her. They’re also both likeable characters and there is still attention given to Lazareth and his growth and perspectives, which is also interesting.

3. Ivy and Brahm (A Spell for a Smith)

This is a new-ish webtoon that I’ve completely fallen in love with, it’s so cute!

Both Ivy and Brahm are protagonists so they both get a lot of attention to their characters and world, which makes them feel more real and easier to connect with. Ivy is a witch living in the outside of a town by herself and Brahm is a dwarf working as a blacksmith in the town. Both of them are seen as outsiders there so they are able to connect with each other as Brahm is one of the few people to show Ivy kindness.

It’s more of a slice of life style kind of as it focuses on the two characters’ interaction as they become closer with short chapters.

I always read it when it updates and I’d definitely recommend it if you want a cute webtoon you can read once a week and get invested in an adorable relationship as it grows.

2. Theuden and Isran (Heir’s Game)

This is one of the few webtoons I’ve completed and I really loved it (I have a poster of it in my room). I think it’s so underrated and I’d 100% recommend it.

It follows the son of a duke, Theuden, and Isran, who is competing to be his bodyguard when he meets him.

They do get together towards the start of the comic so it’s good if you prefer a romance that explores the growth of a relationship over a slow burn.

1. Jieum and Seoha (See you in my 19th Life)

I am not up to date with this webtoon but I have been reading it for a few years and it’s so good. (I have also watched the drama, which is very good too.)

This webtoon follows Jieum, who can her past lives, as she pursues Seoha, who she knew in her previous life.

It’s such a unique situation for a romance and it produces interesting conflicts from that so it stands out from other comics. I also really love Jieum and Seoha, they’re both so likeable and engaging. I can’t think of another character that’s like Jieum, you can see how her perspective and action are affected by her her past lives. It creates a cute dynamic between her and Seoha and she is often more relaxed and confident in situations where he is panicking.
