Happy 1 year anniversary to me!

Today, one year ago, I ed this amino and as a little special, I'm gonna show you my physical copies of manhwas!

At some time it got so bad, that I needed a shelf and here it is:

Let's go through everything I have and my opinion on them.

Cubby 1:

In this cubby we habe Debut or Die, Not-Sew Wicked Stepmom, Semantic Error, Level up with the Gods and 7 Fates: Chakho.

Debut or Die:

This one I bought on the weekend my best friend had his birthday. We went shopping the day after his birthday on the afternoon of his birthday dinner and went to three different manga/book stores and I like to stroll around and look what they have.

Debut or Die was in each store the first thing I saw. I felt like it would follow me around...so I bought it and read it right when we were in store 3, because they had a little reading corner and we way too much time before our dinner reservation.

I really like it. It landed on my list and in 2 month volume 2 finally comes out.

Not-Sew Wicked Stepmom:

This one I keep buying. Every one is from my local comic/manga/manhwa store. At first I just bought it, because I thought the art style looked really cute and I fell in love with the story and the characters, so I kept buying. I got even that obsessed with one character, that she is my current profile pic.

For the next volume I have to wait until the first of July.

This one comes with little photocards, but only for the first print.

Semantic Error:

This is my current read.

I just bought it recently. I got to the story for ORV 8, kept looking a bit around and this looked interesting an I bought it without thinking, not knowing it dropped on that day.

My explanation for buying it was:

After a certain time, I noticed something....I know that story! I once watched the first episode of the live action and I liked it, but I forgot about it and even forgot the title. I noticed when I was on page three, that it is strangely familiar.

And now I have a problem: do I wanna watch the TV series to know what cones next or do I wanna wait until I have the books....

Level up with the Gods:

This one made me angry...

Listen, we have a yearly book fair with a manga-comic-con. The fair is four days long and normally I go multiple days. This year I only had time for one day. And there was a booth that showcased this manhwa.

My best friend and I asked what it is about, got a little reading sample and heard one of the best sales arguments:

'It's shiny!'

We had to wait for something, I read the reading sample and wanted to buy it. We walked back to the booth and I was like 'The argument with that it's shiny was really convincing' but they didn't sold it at this booth, they had a separate booth for that (for explanation: they had like three smaller booths just for information and one huge store-like booth for selling). When I saw the line at the big booth I was like 'let's come back later, I don't wanna wait like 40 minutes'

We came back like 4:40 pm, wanted to get in line (which was so much shorter) and a guy told us, we can't get in line, they wanna close at 5pm...

I was pissed, I wanted it so bad...so I instructed my boyfriend to get it for me. He went to the fair two days later and I told him, that he has to get it for me.

And he bought the version with the acrylic standee. Not knowing that their was also one without standee.

Getting it was a hassle, but I love it. The next volume comes like two weeks.

7 Fates: Chakho:

This one was the first I ever bought. On the exact same fair I got Level up with the Gods, but one year earlier. There was a little event and some publisher talkes about some of there newest manhwas and it sounded fun. So my best friend and I bought it.

What can I say about it.... absolutely nothing, because I haven't read it xD

Listen, I started the first volume on that day. We waited for the cosplay contest on that fair and I started to read, but paused for the contest and just forgot to read it...but still bought volume 2.

Don't get me wrong, eventually I am going to read it xD

Chakho comes with a little poster, but I won't hang it up, because it is double sided and I never can't decide on one side.

Cubby 2:

In cubby 2 we only have one manhwa.

(pleas let's ignore the Alice in Borderland manga. It's my favourite manga of all time, i read it multiple times online and just needed the physical copies and in the beginning it was kinda a nice fit)

The World after the Fall:

I bought it because....I can't . I guess I was strolling aroung like always and it sounded fun and the artstyle looked cool. So I got it, I liked it and I continued to buy it.

You may joticed that one doesn't have a photocard. That's because it was the second print and not the first. But who cares as long as I got the books.

And I start to have a problem. It will get more and more volumes and I don't know how to display it. I want to leave it next to Alice in Borderland, but thought of standing it in the back, and lay the others in the front (like it is now) but how should I do it? Should I put the newest volumes in the front or in the back?

What do you say?

Cubby 3

This one has only one manhwa: ORV

And next to it is a littly coin bank with a cat that grabs coins xD

ORV was the second manhwa I bought. I wanted to go to my best friend. I had to wait for my train and waiting for a train means for me, that I stroll around in a book store. I ed from this amino that many talked about it and ai got intrigued, so I wanted to read it.

On that weekend, at my best friend place I also bought volume 2 and 3.

For volume 1 I don't have a photocards, because of the same reaon for The World after the Fall. And if you wonder 'why don't you have photocards for volune 6, 7 and 8?' - I have...they are still inside, because I haven't opened them. They are still foiled up.

Why? Because my best friend and I tend to binge read it together. Everytine he comes over to my place, we read it. For example next weekend, he comes over, I will probably either finish Semantic Error or start Chakho and in the meantime my best friend is going to read volume 6. Once he finishes it, he's gonna read volume 7 and I start volume 6. And then we talk about it.

I don't know why we did it like that in the first place, but we kept doing it until now. And because we sometimes don't read it for months and have problems ing where we stoppes, I leave it in the foil.

So this are my current shelves. What do I plan to buy next?

Listen, I write in my calander when the next volumes drop. But I also have two manhwas in there, that I don't have. Later this year Pigpen and Killing Peter are going to be published and I really wanna read them and buy them.

Displaying them later will be a hassle on it's own, but this will be a problem for future-me.
