It’s frustrating when someone jumps into roleplaying with a pre-determined plot without even asking what you might want to do. That’s kind of the whole point of roleplaying, isn’t it? Collaboration. I know I should’ve spoken up, but honestly, it seems like a lot of roleplayers these days are like this—just showing up and dictating what they want without considering if it’s mutual.
Then there are their “rules”—which, on the surface, seem reasonable: don’t abandon the RP or chat, let them know if I’m busy, be patient, all that. But here’s the part that confuses me: they use a colon for something, and I’ve never roleplayed with a colon before, so I don’t even understand what that’s about. Even worse, they don’t follow their own rules! Like, shouldn’t you also tell me when you’re busy? The whole thing feels one-sided, and it’s kind of exhausting.
The more I think about it, the first red flag was how they came in already controlling the RP from the start. And now that they’re always doing this—this lack of communication, the double standards—it’s just hard to enjoy. I wanted a collaborative experience, but instead, it’s all about them, and that’s what really gets under my skin.

This is hilarious since I got a DM from the same person. Same dialogue and plot given
I had to stop roleplaying with them. They don't add much to a roleplay.
For me they don't move the character and it just feels like one of those roleplays where the characters are just standing in one place

I'm a nerd. So my thoughts reading this was. "Damn, she's using turnplay mechanics on someone that's reactive?" Haha.
I am glad I didn't bother to even start the rp then.

Haha, exactly! That's exactly what it felt like—just endless reacting with no real progression. It’s like they were stuck in this rinse-and-repeat dialogue loop without moving the story forward. I tapped out because, honestly, what’s the point if the characters just end up standing still in a plot that’s supposed to have momentum? Safe to say, you didn’t miss out by skipping it—this particular "young multibillionaire newlywed" story went nowhere fast.
