My last post in this amino was in 2018!! So many things happened since then. I graduated high school and I'm now studying computer science at university. And I found out that studying is much different from me than for most people.
Everyone says "you need to study this many hours" or "you need to start preparing for an exam at least one month before", and I felt guilty and not prepared because I never followed this advice.
So I kept not following it. And i started studying less than a week before my first exam, just for a few hours a day. In the end the professor gave me the highest grade (called "30 e lode" in Italy) and I did better than my classmates who studied everyday for months.
I felt extremely guilty about not studying as much as others, but the thing is: I don't need to and I never did.
Active procrastination is procastinating on purpose. That's what I do. If I start studying one month before, I get extremely anxious, I can't focus at all, and I instantly forget everything I study. But when there's not much time to study, I get hyperfocused, and even by reading stuff one single time I memorize it.
The hardest part was dealing with people who think my method is "wrong". I really think there's no wrong way to study, just inefficient ones, and mine is everything but inefficient (for me).
Don't let others tell you that there's only one "right" way to study. Please find out on your own the way you memorize thing faster and the way you focus more.
Thanks for reading :two_hearts:

Such a nice tip, although i don't study like this because i feel nervous as the exam approaches, but i really loved the way it worked for you!! And it's really logical and applicable!! But I'll try for small tests, Thank you :)
You don't need to use it if it doesn't work for you, it's just something that works for some people but that they won't use because they've been told it's "wrong"
Anyway good luck ;)

I can just give it try in the new semester  Coz I always experiment and try new ways.. :satisfied:
mmm! I agree! I also think that everyone studies differently and in the end, you know yourself best :)
