hello everybody!
welcome back to my blog
thank you for reading!
today we will be talking about something serious
and i urge the leadership team not to take this post down because this is important information
whether you are reading this for yourself or a friend, please read this knowing i’m not an expert, but this is coming from my experience
my quick story
hello, i am medically diagnosed with bipolar disorder and anxiety, these disorders do not define me
i have been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for the last year
with help i have managed to manage my disorders
lets begin..
——————————————————————————
do not take hard unmanageable classes
know where you are in school, don’t push yourself too much
you’re not feeling well, and it’s hard to keep up when you’re not feeling well. you may want to challenge yourself, and you can, but just don’t make it breakdown worthy
make a goal for everyday
even if your goal for the day is to just get through the day, set a goal. it can be any goal. make sure it’s achievable.
setting a goal can make you feel accomplished
get out of bed on time
you probably would like to sit in bed all day or even 15 more minutes but it’s not a good idea. you’re going to make yourself late and that will be even more draining
breathe. keep something in your bag to calm you down
if you’re sitting in class and you feel anxious, take deep breathes and keep something in your bag like a stress ball, candy, or essential oils to take out and use to calm you down
deep breathes expand your lungs, relieving thay trapped feeling
ask for help and ask questions
its ok if you miss something or don’t understand something, you’re not being an inconvenience at all by asking the teacher for help
stay busy
if you find yourself dozing off, draw something on your paper, or ask to go to the bathroom, do something to keep you awake and paying attention
homework
make your notes fancy or create flash cards, keep it interesting
to take breaks but not too long ones, 5-10 minutes
eat food and drink plenty of water
studying
try not to panic, find a technique that suits you to calm you down
take out your fancy notes and flash cards
some things you need may be in your notes but also may be in a textbook
bored? study with a friend
other tips
NEVER pull an all nighter
do not cram
show up to class 10 minutes early
dont rush

thats it for today’s blog!
