It is almost the end of july so better late than never to participate in july mini-challenges!

#1: List a few Ghibli movies that you associate most with summer :sunny:

It is hard to list just a few because so many of the movies remind me of summer and how I used to binge-watch some of them without a break. But I can name some of the best Ghibli movies to watch during summer!

Kiki's Delivery Service

I guess I don't even have to explain why I associate this movie with summer<3

It is such an important movie for me and I watched it during summer for the first time. I think I was like 5 or 6 years old back then so kinda odd that I what season it was then, but I guess this film just made a huge impression on me.

The film also takes place in the Scandinavian part of Europe where I also live. So many city scenes and nature scenes look like from my country

My Neighbour Totoro

Totoro will always be my comfort movie and comfort character ♡

I wish I could teleport myself into that movie and spend my summer holiday in a beautiful japanese countryside and take a nap with Totoro under the sun listening to the crickets 🦗

Secret World Of Arietty

The scenery in this film is so beautiful and adding Cecile Corbel's music and soothing voice to it is a cherry on top of a cake :cherries:

The best scene when it comes to feeling summery is the raining scene. I just love warm summer rain and the sound of it hitting the tin roof.

When Marnie Was There

When Marnie Was There reminds me of warm summer evenings and nights and how I used to help my grandmom in her big garden. I was always happy to travel countryside and spend my summer in the middle of nowhere in a tiny village.🌙
