ICE Raids/Protests Awareness

Currently in the US there have been many ICE raids and protests happening. These ICE raids have been happening in and targeting work places and schools where innocent and hard working people are located, even children. They aren’t taking criminals, they are taking innocents who came here for a better life and people who have been contributing to their communities and this country for years. They are racially profiling anyone who looks latino to them and deporting them, separating them from their families and not caring to check their legal status but even then, US citizens with immigrant families or past are not safe either. We want to bring awareness to this situation and ask that you take the time to read this post and help even just by sharing this information. I will be sharing some links and information that have been previously shared by other people below.

Also recently, there has been an ongoing protest against ICE raids in LA where things have escalated to the point of national guards being involved and force being used on peaceful protesters and apparently anyone at the protests, as recently a video came out of a news reporter being shot at with a rubber bullet out of nowhere, unprovoked. As a person who is latino and has family that lives in the US around these areas, it’s definitely a terrifying feeling and I worry for them and their safety everyday both because of the raids and protests. If you are someone who also lives in these areas and/or are participating in these protests or you’re planning to, please stay safe and to keep yourself protected. Trump has sent over 300 national guardsmen and is threatening to send the marines to California. LAPD has confirmed ICE instigated former peaceful protesters. Now the protesters have ICE cornered/held. The governor of California is currently under threat of an arrest to be a political prisoner in his own country, for not stepping in and shutting these protesters down. Mind you California is a sanctuary state. There is speculation he will declare martial law soon. If you can get a pocket book form of the constitution and call the California representatives.

Different gases let out at protests

1. CN gas, basically mace, use water to rinse out your eyes. 2. CS gas, white flakey substance, REACTIVE TO LENSES, safe with water. 3. CR gas, yellowish cloud, REACTIVE TO WATER, use a dry towel or shirt to wipe it away.
