      ✧   hello, and welcome, my friends! for it is i,

              sondee, bringing you the eleventh

              community poem post!!

             not sure what that is? no worries, me

              neither!!! ;) let's find out below!

      ✧   community poems are poems put

              together by the entire poetry amino

              community! at the beginning of each

              month, a staff member(that's me this

              time around!) will post the first stanza

              with a theme and everyone gets to

              create their own stanza in the comments.

              (it can be any style, rhyming, free-verse,

              etc. and does not have to match the

              original.)

             you can vote on your favourite stanza,

              and after a week, the top ten get put

              together into one big COMMUNITY

              poem!!

              with that being said, there are some

              rules that must be followed if you wish

              to participate.

             • please abide by the [guidelines]

              at all times!

            • no plagiarism! come up with

               something original to post!

            • you may only post FOUR lines in your

              stanza (to ensure the poem doesn't end

               being toooooo long)

            • post your stanza by the assigned

               deadline! or else yours won't count :(

            • the deadline is june 7, 11:59pm gmt-4

               (that's eastern standard time)

           this month's theme is about how happiness

            is something we have to create, and not

           something we wait on.

             the numbness beats my heart like a drum

            i sit on the edge of my bed,

            hoping someone comes to light a smile

             upon my face;

            until i unveil my window, and beyond it i see
