TO trust or to not trust

In my 7 years of practici

In my 7 years of practicing from when I was a small 11 year old filled with WAY too much trust to now as an 18 year old I have definitely built ways to challenge the thoughts, opinions and facts I consume on a daily basis. What do I take as truth and what do I rule out? What patterns in my own brain should I trust and what should I challenge. I am assuming you have these exact thoughts if you are reading this right now and seeing as I have no subway surfer videos underneath this text to keep you reading despite your short attention span (if you are online then I KNOW TikTok has dwindled it down) I will keep this entry short.

Sorce of information

Witchcraft is a tradition ed down by word of mouth or actual words on paper.

It is hard to tell when to trust someone or not. Even though I did flex how many years of practice I’ve had on you to bate you to read this you have no idea how many times between those years I took breaks. This is the same for ANYONE online including yes. Big influencers. Here is my no BS formula.

1. are they gaining anything from sharing this information.

If the information they are sharing with you is benefiting them in any way but just from ion as well as love for the practice it’s probably just a scam.

Edit!

Hello there was some confusion on this. I mean benefiting in a toxic way as in leaching off of you if that makes sense. Convincing you you have a curse that you need to continually come back to them for, feeding you ideals that put them in a god like stance, looping you into a subscription that ultimately is just another form of income for them and gives so substance. Let’s not forget there are SO many scammers who claim to be witches. Genuinely it’s a big problem.

Personally unless I have having a reading done by someone and giving them money just to help out I look into the people giving me a reading and prefer to have my readings done by people I know in person. I research the people to see if they are consistently saying one narrative or just common things everyone can relate to or are saying health issues or harmful info, does this make sense?

2.What are their sources? Are those sources talking out their butts?

Say you find someone who is kind hearted and has sources they swear by, check those sources. They could be so kind hearted that’s it’s backfired. Apply the first step.

3. What are they known for?

Is this person known for scandals and bias? What biases do they have. Do they have internalized misogyny, homophobia and or racism? Do they outwardly big corporations or certain toxic thought patterns? Well those things heavily affect people’s work as well as what they spout out.

4. Am I just hearing what I want to hear?

Often times when we find sources for claims we unconsciously or consciously only seek things to validate our thought patterns and or claims but you really need to look into both sides. This is a struggle for me as far as mythology goes as it is very much so all over the place for some gods and goddesses and I have autism so it’s hard for me to consider my way may be wrong. Regardless you have to find a middle ground between what you think is right and what you think is wrong to come up with a valid reason for your claim because you may actually be wrong in your thinking.

5. Is this going to hurt me or others?

This is a big one. Don’t be putting your vaginal yeast in people’s food (yes there has been ppl who have done that) don’t be making people un consensually eat ANY of your body fluids, don’t cause major injuries to yourself (if you do blood magic I will happily make a post on how to safely source that if you would like!) don’t let another person have power over you. I could go on but I think I’ve made my point. If it is a harm to you or others it is BS!!!!!

I have a genuine, no offense question: how do you view the Trusted Reader and Vendor community in connection with your first point? For example, I am now charging currency for my divination services, besides the happiness I receive from sharing my practice with others. Would you say that, even if there is genuine ion, that these kinds of things are a scam, because they don’t solely have a ion aspect?

But that point was more so for people with subscriptions, are they trying to get you to keep coming back? Are they holding money above u.

I get your points! I myself recently opened up a section of my business which is hip based, for learning and such and to make sure I am equally satisfied on the earnings side just as my customers are with the educational side! Eg. the income helps me improve resource quality in of graphics, how the info is delivered and such. I don’t think they’re necessarily a bad thing, but I will say there’s some that are just AWFUL. I know I love Nebula for free daily horoscopes, but their ‘psychic’ service is nonsense. Eg, you pay £19 for 400 credits for conversation, but each conversation takes 40-100 credits a minute. It’s such a scam!!

Yes exactly see you get it what you are doing is totally ethical and not a scam as it is out of ion and also you are providing actual learning for the other side unlike other subscriptions and such

Great post. I get what you mean by point number 1 but the way it's written is kinda unfair. I mean technically you could be getting something out of this post. You could be spotlighted or given props. Which is no different than people gaining followers or subscribers on other platforms. I think the distinction you're trying to make is if the person seems to have the goal of sharing information or are they subtly advertising to you.

Number 4 is hard for everyone, you aren't alone! 🫠 This is why cross referencing and pepper research is important.

Hi hi, I am extremely skeptical of everyone online so my thoughts and such may be different from others. I mean more so that if they are doing something that makes you in debt to them. Something that says oh now you need to give me all this money to make your luck come back or oh now u need to give me money on these days to do your daily luck thingy to keep the monsters away. Yk? I’m going to edit this post to add these words to clarify
