If you, like to talk about the moon, incorporate the moon and or its phases and cycle in our practice in any way, and ire the moon and/or moon related deities, this chat is perfect for you! It's a place where we can come together, discuss and learn more about these topics.

This month I'm gonna be trying something new for the daily prompts.   I wanted them to kinda go along with the moon phases, so they will change pretty often. Leading up to the full and new moon you may see repeating questions of course. Ill add a survey into next month's newsletter to see how people like it.

Full moon in Scorpio: May 12, 1pm EDT

This particular full moon is known as the Flower moon, to reflect the blooming flowers that come with may. It is also considered a micro moon because it is the farthest away from the earth in its orbit. With the moon being in Scorpio, it brings along immense emotional exploration and transformation.

So let's break this moon down in parts. I’ll talk about the Scorpio aspect, then the micro moon aspect then the flower moon aspect and tie them all together nicely!

Full moon in Scorpio

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto (power, rebirth, depth) and Mars (drive and ion). Scorpio full moons are deeply transformative. They are good for:

Emotional release and shadow work

Transformation and letting go

Cutting cords or breaking toxic habits/patterns

Magickal or intuitive practices

With this being a very emotionally intense moon, so don’t be surprised if you feel things more deeply or more intensely than usual.

Now….what is a micro moon?

A micro moon is like a super moon’s sister, it is a new or full moon that coincides with the apogee- which is when the moon is the furthest away from the Earth as it can be.

What can you do during a micro moon?

spells that are for reducing or removing or releasing/moving on from something are very potent during this time.

as well as working on shadow work, focusing on revealing or manifesting what is hidden inside, and learn to accept it

spells for Protection against natural disasters are great at this time too

Last but not least, Mental health focused Magick

The Flower Moon

The flower moon is a time of blossoming, when intentions planted earlier in the year begin to reveal results.

The Flower Moon brings the energy of:

Culmination and clarity

Fertility and creativity

Emotional intensity and depth (Especially when ruled by Scorpio!)

Letting go of whats no longer aligned with you and your goals

So to wrap up, with this Full moon being a flower moon, micro moon, and being in scorpio, it has an added layer of being good for shadow work, transformation. Being a great time for deep healing that may be needed, releasing, and spiritual rebirth.

Flower self love bath

it should be no surprise at this point my favorites are ritual baths, they're just so calming, for this one I’d recommend using some flower petals such as rose, or hibiscus or any others you wish, maybe some honey and other herbs to match your intentions.

shadow work would be a great activity heres a Journal prompt as well!

Dancing in the moon with nice music

This was one of my favorite things to do when I first started practicing and learning about the moon. I feel like it helps release all the energy built up inside and nobody is around so idc how I look dancing I just let my body flow.

the standard making moon water, cleansing or charging crystals, tarot cards, or any other tools.

These are some ideas and I've also added some pictures of tarot spreads as you can see through out the post mainly to break up paragraphs so it's not just words :sweat_smile:

I hope you guys enjoyed this! I had wanted to add stuff about the new moon for this month but I'm a professional procrastinator and didn't end up giving myself enough time. Maybe I'll just make a separate post about it who knows🤷‍♀ I should probably start working on next month's now so this doesn't happen again :sweat_smile: .
