In college, you are given the opportunity to do what you love and get prepared for your future. Most people do not think students who play sports in college should get paid. They should get the privilege to get paid when they graduate college but not during. A lot of people who attend college for other majors and activities don’t get paid, how come this only happens to people who play sports? Young adults in college that work hard out of what they are planning to do for their future, should also get these types of opportunities, to get paid lots of money like college football players.

In a single college, there are at least 60 majors, minors and electives that students can take each course. Why should only less than half of that amount of students be able to make a good amount of cash for their 4 years of attendance? In the publics’ opinion, they think that there are more important electives in life to pursue and that deserve paid money than sports.

Furthermore, if a student is majoring in chemical engineering, does all the work and requirements that they have while in college, but don’t get paid for that hard work, then neither should a college football player. If it just so happens that a college boy gets into the NFL, then he’ll most definitely be getting paid. Is it fair to pay someone in college that will already be making money in the near future after they graduate? Others personally think it is not fair. To finalize, Many people strongly believe that athletes in college that play sports should work for what they need. If you work hard during your college experience, you will be given options and opportunities. You can get paid after you make a good living off of your job after college.
