MLB has suspended Jose Alvarado for 80 games without pay for violating the league's drug policy. He has accepted the suspension & won't appeal
The suspension will bring the reliever's season to an abrupt end with a 4-1 record with a 2.70 ERA & 7 saves in 20 appearances. He is also ineligible to compete in the postseason
