Some people have started to notice that Amino (but not ACM) has disappeared from the (Apple) App Store kind of suddenly. I don’t know anything you don’t.
To be honest, I’m mostly shocked this didn’t happen sooner… like when Live was implemented. Or really, during any major porn/scam bot wave. I can’t say for sure if the app was removed for breaking Apple’s rules, or which rules… if that proves to be what happened. But it does very much appear to be gone for now.
So.
Affected s- don’t delete your app unless you’re prepared to use Amino as a regular old website.
If you find out something before I do (like if there’s news while I’m asleep), it’d be awesome if you could comment about it so everyone can see the update.
Please nobody panic. Other apps have been briefly removed or threatened with removal in the past. You can still use Amino from the website, even if it might have a few bugs.
Saturday Update
I just want to say there’s no change in status. It seems like there should be news by now, but there isn’t. Still waiting for Amino, or Apple to say something.
Monday Update
Still no change. You didn’t miss anything. If we hit a week with no change and no comment, then maybe we worry a little. But only a little.
One Week Update
It’s been a week. Here’s the situation: Amino hasn’t made any announcement I can find. Neither has Apple. There is no confirmation of why the app is gone or how long it will be out of the App Store for. Some Reddit threads that came up when I searched the web feature alleged email responses from Team Amino claiming some kind of maintenance to the app. I have not personally emailed Team Amino, so I do not have a better reference to compare to. Whether the app was removed to be worked on or due to other reasons, there is not much to know. Some people might try to fill the information void with unverified claims, so I want to make sure no one is getting sucked into any fictional drama.

Available still on the Play Store. I agree about the "Live" feature. Totally put me off a lot of my groups, which is sad.
Tike to switch to android :satisfied: tbh live feature killed this app, it's no fun since then.
