I finally have an actual room to use as a craft room after years of not having one. I’m trying to make it look creativity inspiring on a budget. I’m using either gifted items, low cost import items, thrift store items, renovation pieces that need fixed up, etc. This is the current wall I’m working on.
The lamp was a left behind one of a family member who didn’t want it anymore, the tall vase is goodwill, so is the white bouquet (I added the draping greenery that spills over from Walmart though), the bird orb was from goodwill which I repainted from solid black iron, the peach/pink sparkly candle vase thingy was an unwanted delivered/gifted flower vase from a friend who hated it, the blue candle lantern was a gift for Christmas from my mother in law years ago, the wall hanging is a cheapo import fabric piece that I paid $10 for, the vine light is an import but you can get them on amazon for more money (I repainted the vine to match the wall hanging with craft paint) because it was ugly brown paper wrapped.
The frame was from goodwill and it had an old ugly print in it, so I took that out and refinished the frame in new wood stain/sealer to refresh it-then I added a $4 import canvas in it.
I didn’t show the glass case because it’s a work in progress. A relative ed away and no one wanted the cabinet and set it out on the curb as trash or give away. I grabbed it and it is patched (there was chipped wood damage) and I painted the cabinet and added wallpaper to the sides in a mystical print. I gilded the fine details with gold craft paint and then sealed it. I spray painted the door knobs dull gold to match. I did some gold pin striping in areas. Today I’m heading out to replace the water damaged warped backer board on the cabinet which will be wallpapered to match the sides. I have a matching top scarf coming in today as well as set of four color changing under cabinet lights all imported inexpensively.
I saved that cabinet from the dumpster very likely because it was SO old and ugly, and very damaged. So I feel good about that. All it took was a little elbow grease and a few parts to make it worthy of keeping in a home.

Cute!! It looks so cozy, I'd love to hang out in this room
Thanks, it’s coming along bit by bit. I’m about to do a cabinet post because I finished it. It’s a good save considering it was probably headed for the dumpster.
