So I did NOT anticipate how chaotic my month would be when I decided to do this. Basically all my tests this year were apparently this month and I only found out like a DAY before the first one :sob: and then I had to travel home real quick and only had AN HOUR to complete the sketches I had prepared, and ended up doing something completely different.
But anyway enough about that. My palette was this

It was interesting, and I made it unnecessarily harder for myself by drawing this in greyscale so I wouldn’t see what I was actually drawing.
I regret it so much.
But yeah this drawing is in reference to a summer day long gone, with my puppy, when I made her a flower crown. She absolutely did NOT like it, but she looked adorable and after a minute I let her have her way with the apparently offensive object.
I also always thought of flower crowns as one of THE summery things in life -at least on tv, but never got to make one as a child, it wasn’t something I actively thought about, but I still always kind of wanted to make one, which I did!

So this is what happened, it’s too late to change, and I’m really sleepy. But in all seriousness I think it turned out fine for the grayscale experiment I turned it into, and I’m not mad at how it looks when I had to rush so much, in a way I’m a bit surprised that it’s alright, though it looks a bit unfinished.
Also I put the speed paint at the end due to flashing, just incase.
And like I said I did have some sketches and drabbles where I played around with the palatte, and even though they’re not my submission, I kind of want to show them anyway, so here.

This one is absolutely my favourite out of everything I made for this, but it’s far from complete and I didn’t have time to expand upon this.

This one was kinda just based on another drawing I’m currently working on, though that one’s in traditional.

This was kinda just to see how the palette interacts, but it’s a kind of cute idea imo.

This was a kind of precursor to the actual drawing, having the exact same concept, but just drawn quite a while before.

Idk what this was…

And the first attempt at getting an idea from this palette.
But yeah this was fun, and I love when this community hosts events, but I really should double check my schedule next time
Here the speed paint as promised
